There’s this clothing store in my city

that has a slogan saying “Shop to stop domestic violence.”

They help victims of domestic violence in my county. That’s all well and good.

Better yet, they say they help individuals who experience domestic violence. Great right? Not women, but individuals. So that must mean they help men too.

Well there’s one “tiny” problem, they only carry clothing for women and children. Nothing for men. The name of the store is geared towards women. Not men. The whole atmosphere of the place makes it seem highly likely that the only individuals they actually help are women. Even though in my county about half of domestic violence claims made by women are false, and a little more than half of actual domestic violence incidents are started by women.
