I swear, whatever forces are at work were testing me today. Almost everyone in that store had a baby with them. Babies. Everywhere. Crying, laughing, being so cute and lovable. Why me?

I’d like to shoot myself sometimes. I stumbled on a blog by a fat feminist and didn’t immediately leave. Never go to a blog by a fat feminist and not immediately leave. It’s not good for your health and sanity.

you know america is spoiled when people claim to be oppressed for being fat

"Modern civilized man cannot endure cruelty, pain and suffering and is more merciful than men of the past, but this is not because he is morally and spiritually higher than they. He fears pain and suffering more than they did; he is more effeminate, less firm, patient and courageous than they; in other words he is spiritually less strong."

Instead of working on my Mother’s Day gift or the blanket I started two weeks ago, I’ve decided to start a brand new project and learn how to filet crochet. That’s why I never get anything done. I get bored with things too easily.

I really love how a woman can have a ten mile long list of what she wants from a man, but let a man dare say he wants his woman to cook and all hell breaks loose.

I think I’m going to put an ad in the paper:

Looking for a job as a wife.
New, never been used.
Low maintenance.
Adores children. Already have children? That’s fine, but must be willing to have tons more.
Won’t hold down a paying job, but will do all the cooking, cleaning, childcare, and other domestic things.
Prefers older men (10-15 years) but a younger man with the right mind will do.

Warning: Lifetime commitment. Hard to get rid of. Will get very attached to whomever will have her.

kids need to learn not to shout out and how to take turns though. i don't think they should be yelled at, but they should be corrected.

That’s fine, but I don’t think embarrassing them is the right way to go about it. Some children are more excitable than others. They shouldn’t be chastised for that.

wow ignore my message then?

Could you be a little more specific? I don’t know what message you’re talking about.

i read something interesting where dog people are generally more traditional, whereas cat people tend to be more quirky and unusual. its so good u like both though. i hope ur family of 8/10 have many pets. pets are good for children growing up

Really? I’ve never heard that haha. Thank you! I hope we have many pets too! They”ll have other purposes than just being companions though.

Anonymous asked:
do u like cats though even though ur a dog person? cats are cool, just saying. also i volunteer at a school with 6-7 year olds and whenever boys (not often girls do) shout out the answer, even if its correct, they get told off. the teacher told a boy off calmly and said "thats not how we answer questions though it it ben?" etc. and he said no, sorry. - opinions?

I like cats. I really like all animals, I just prefer dogs.

I think that’s very demoralizing. I understand the need to be respectful, but I don’t know. If a child is interested enough and excited enough in what’s he’s learning to give an answer why damper that because he didn’t answer it the right way? “Yes, you have the right answer, but that doesn’t matter because you didn’t answer it the way I want you to.”

If there’s one thing my children learn it will be manners. They will say ma’am and sir and please and thank you. I don’t like rude youngins. My little cousins are horribly rude and I want to smack them around a few times. I do not want my children like that.

Everything is female oppression! This Winter was so long and cold because nature wanted to keep women oppressed and covered up. It’s the truth. Patriarchy told me.

“What do I do for a living? I live for a living. When I moved out in the forest 35 years ago, people said “You can’t escape reality.” I went TO reality. You’re living in a virtual reality. You don’t even know where your stuff comes from, don’t even know where your poop goes.I live in nature where everything is connected, circular. The seasons are circular. The planet is circular…Do people live in circles today? No. They live in boxes. They wake up every morning in a box of their bedrooms because a box next to them started making beeping noises to tell them it was time to get up. They eat their breakfast out of a box and then they throw that box away into another box.  Then they leave the box where they live and get into another box with wheels and drive to work, which is just another big box broken into little cubicle boxes where a bunch of people spend their days sitting and staring at the computer boxes in front of them. When the day is over, everyone gets into the box with wheels again and goes home to the house boxes and spends the evening staring at the television boxes for entertainment. They get their music from a box, they get their food from a box, they keep their clothing in a box, they live their lives in a box.”—Eustace Conway

Something that annoys me is people in the school system, teachers, principals, school boards..etc will say each child learns differently, but they think it’s a good idea to group 20-30 of them together in one room to be taught by one person, in one way. And those children that can’t learn that way, the ones that fall behind the rest, just need extra help. We’ll make them feel inadequate and embarrassed instead of changing the system.

They don’t need extra help. They need to be taught according to their individual needs in the first place. They need to learn the way that’s best for them from the start.
